I agree that the double standard has got to go. As I said, it's all about comfort level, if you are comfortable with the life you are living then who is anybody else to judge?

You don't actually have any basis for claiming that the men answering the survey consider a promiscuous women not as "good" as a non-promiscuous one. Or rather, your assertions aren't backed up by anything in that survey.

However; when looking promiscuous up in a thesaurus it appears to be much less neutral with immoral, loose, licentious, and wanton appearing as synonyms. I am also fairly confident most individuals in our society today associate promiscuity with a negative connotation. I.e. I doubt you would want your wife, daughter, mother, sister being called promiscuous by a buddy, even in jest. So yes, I did take some license with the word promiscuity if you look at the "letter of the law" but when looking at the "spirit" in which the word was used, the survey takers understood exactly what was meant by the word...and it wasn't as a positive character trait.

David July 28, 2011 at 11:21 pm Reply Promiscuity. A relative term based upon one's perception. Seems I must represent a minority of the male species. It has never been important for me to opine about a woman's status on the scale of promiscuity. No one should pass judgement against what consenting adults decide to do between themselves inside the four walls, nor beyond the four walls for that matter. Besides how do you not know what you like if you're not willing to experiment or be experimented on?
