He comes from a family of entertainers - his mother, Joyce Hiller Piven, was an actress and drama teacher, and his father, Byrne Piven, was a theater director and actor. With such a legacy, it was natural for Jeremy to get inclined towards performing arts. He went to Harand Theater Camp in Kenosha, Wisconsin, as a child and eventually began studying acting at the renowned Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. After that, he moved to New York to pursue a career in theater. He appeared in multiple plays and also starred in an Off-Broadway production of “The Runner Stumbles."
